Father's Day Family Session

This past weekend I was asked if I could take some group pictures, as the whole family was going to be together for Father's Day weekend. For the location, I had initially suggested a local park, but they suggested doing it in their backyard, and I'm very grateful for their input, because that evening it was super muggy and it was WAY better to have an air-conditioned house to be able to escape into, especially with four children involved. Happy children = happy photos!

For a fun fact, this is the same family that I did my first maternity photos back in freezing-cold February, so it was really fun to capture their first "Father's Day" and take some new pics of them as an official family of three (I mean, the maternity pics were also technically of a family of three... but you get what I'm saying!)

I know holidays like Father's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas etc. can be really hard for those that have lost loved ones, so I hope whatever your story, you were able to at least reflect on some good memories of people that have been father or father-figures to you in your own life.
